Here are our picks for this week’s Friday Five. Click the link in our bio for the full list and live links

1.  Here at Studio Five 02 we are all about women empowerment! So when we came across the Birdie Alarm, we were sold immediately!

“Birdie is a modern, female personal safety alarm to help deter an attack. If threatened, activate Birdie’s siren and flashing light to create a diversion. This tool empowers women in their everyday lives.”

Learn more about Birdie and get one for yourself today! Did we also mention it is a great Mother’s Day gift for your mother friends?

2.  Have you ever exercised your brain muscles? Did you even know such a thing existed? Till only a couple weeks ago, we didn’t either! In April we started a wonderful coaching seminar to improve our PQ (Positive Intelligence Quotient). Your PQ “measures the relative strength of your positive mental muscles (Sage) versus the negative (Saboteur) and it is the most widely used measure of mental fitness. Independent researchers have validated this measure to be the greatest predictor of how happy you are, and how well you perform against your potential.”

Before taking this course we were sceptic, but after the first coaching session we were 100 % converts!! If you never heard of it, we encourage you to try it! It is truly a life changing experience and brings so much self-knowledge. Start by taking a simple test to find out your PQ score and begin exercising your brain muscles!

3.  If you have ever doubted the power of social media, read this story from The Dallas Morning News,  on how a viral TikTok video saved a downtown Dallas sushi restaurant!

“Kang Lee, the restaurant’s owner has absolutely no idea what TikTok is. What he does know is that his grandson posted some sort of social media video of the sushi restaurant he’s owned for 14 years in downtown Dallas, and now he has more business than he knows what to do with. “

Next time you are in Dallas join us and visit Sushiya, located at 1306 Elm Street, Dallas.

4.  Don’t miss out on the best styling tips from our favorite style Icon and queen of cool, Amy Smilovic, Founder and Creative Director of Tibi. 5.  Talking about cool, if you are anything like us and reaching that time in your life when your eyes need a little extra help, don’t settle for your standard readers!!  In a recent trip to our favorite office, A.K.A. Neighborhood Goods, we discovered Caddis Readers. Caddis are a step up from your drugstore glasses. They have so many trendy styles to chose from that will make you look cool, not old!
